• A Theory of Humanism

In a Theory of Humanism, Higazy establishes an approach to reinstate ‘reality’ of Justice and Freedom as enlivened in balanced states of being for humanity. The process postulated in Higazy’s theory is that of creating a rather humanly imperfect ‘non-utopian’–however ever-maturing, ever-developing balanced states of justice and freedom. The intrinsic nature of self-development is earned by being defined, enlivened and practiced in the context of a Wisdom Paradigm that lends any concept its reality. This is different than the conventional approaches seeking to offer resolutions of questions about the nature of perfect justice or freedom. The place of impartial ‘real’ reason in such endeavor couldn’t be more prominent.

• Human Supra Institutions

Higazy’s work establishes the notion of Supra Institutions, namely, the Institution of Thinking and the Institution of Achievement. Both constitute the macro context of all national, societal and corporate institutions. On a macro level Higazy’s work focuses on re-humanizing the ‘Institution of Thinking’ and the ‘Institution of Achievement’ by arguing that the Industrial Paradigm currently prevails on both. He further provides the philosophical foundation for the Wisdom Paradigm as manifested in TCT. Higazy’s philosophical endeavor is driven by a developed principle beyond the basic Kantian insight stated as: ’Bringing reason to the world becomes the enterprise of morality rather than metaphysics, and the work as well as the hope of humanity’. Higazy’s insight, which relates to ‘wisdom’ as a manifestation of the reality of reason, is what will constitute the reinstatement of humanism and ascertain departure from the ‘Thing’ Industrialism.

• The ‘TERMINI’ Reality

Higazy argues that tangibleness, intactness, comprehensiveness, holistic relevance would all fall short from fulfilling the reason of being of an entity, hence, from granting its ‘Achieving’ reality. He further argues that disorientation, ill-positioning and the alienation from what he coins as ‘Strategic Identity’ would jeopardize the mere existence of the human Institution of Achievement.
Through those queries Higazy tends to create the real trigger to establish a deliberately abandoned dimension of thought and action, deep-rooted in our physical factual world; which he coins as the ‘TERMINI’ dimension. The overlooking of such a dimension deems even a holistic relevance to any human institution fake or at least in-comprehensive, let alone the prevailing Supra ‘Institutions of Thinking and Achievement’. Higazy’s insight on the ‘Termini’ dimension, is it being where the sufficiency of necessities lie and where the context of the true achievement of a human endeavor is to be sought, and above all where the ‘Real/True’ reality is to be expected.

• The ‘TERMINI CONTEXT THINKING’

Higazy argued for his proposed set of Principle of Reality, concepts of holism and tangible comprehensiveness.
His principle of Reality seeks to provide a practical definition of this ‘Humanistic Reality’ in quest and its measuring yardstick. Higazy argues holism, stating that the whole picture could only be real when it reveals and disseminates its meant context. He further defines the meant context of a certain individual or institution to be its reason of being or ‘Raison d’être’. That’s what he coins as the ‘Strategic Identity’ in the strategy discourse of his theory. It is the context that defines the meant ‘Achievement(s)’ of an individual’s or institution’s struggle of existence, which is what Higazy introduces and coins as its terminus or termini. ‘The termini are the specific meant achievements of an individual or an institution mandated by its raison d’être, fulfilled through its specific context of struggle’ as per Higazy. He also states that ‘Termini’ can also be referred to as the entity’s Shoulds versus Coulds. In other words it’s what such an entity is destined and mandated to achieve. It has been said in such effect that ‘Identity is destiny’. The school of thought that Higazy established as the intellectual custodian of this philosophical concept is designated the Termini Context Thinking (TCT) or Termini Thinking.

• The ‘ABE’ Concept

Per Higazy’s TCT principles, human actions are not destined to yield their meant outcomes or in other words are not destined to achieve their termini through mere physical comprehensiveness or punctuality of execution. Executing actions have to be meant, designed and structured to achieve, in order for them to succeed. Higazy postulates that as ‘Achievement-Based Execution’ (ABE) concept.

• Humanistic Liberalism

Higazy’s later work focused on the question of de-industrializing the notion of happiness (re-humanizing it). He introduced ‘Humanistic Liberalism’ among others in that endeavor in a series of concept lectures. A Real/Humanistic Institution of Thinking, as Higazy endorses, is the one that institutionalizes liberty of Thinking in search of Wisdom. It hence ascertains a harmonious trusteeship (guardianship) of Termini (Wisdom) on the understanding of holistic visions. Accordingly, it finds the knowledge that constitutes the awareness out of which execution (performance) is triggered. Awareness is what defines the scope of capacity of the individual or entity working towards a specific achievement and that same capacity is what dictates the mandates of such achievement.
Higazy’s introduction to Humanistic Liberalism is pillared upon his Principle of Value-Aspiration-Need Balance, aka, V.A.N. Balance or Sustainability Balance.

Higazy’s contribution to theorize for, and develop the Wisdom Age Paradigm goes beyond his philosophical contribution to the next echelon of thinking and rationale, namely, Strategic Thinking and further towards structured cognition.
